Despite an increase of 421 teachers, we still need more teachers
The Kolisen Blong Leftemap Edukesen (KoBLE) Association and its members are calling on the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) to promote good governance and oversight in the education sector, particularly on school councils, and school management.
“Most of the schools are governed by boards or school councils, with principals and administration staff managing operations, and then finally the teachers and students,” KoBLE stated. “But what is the legislation or policy on school governance, and management and who is ensuring its implementation? What are the good governance and oversight practices to support principal, teachers, and schools?”
